PILOT
Pilot is Enneagon Movement’s choreographic development platform for early-career artists. The program supports artists to test new ideas across a 5-week part-time creative development period, culminating in a 2-night studio showing with post-show audience discussion.
What does PILOT involve?
-
REHEARSAL SPACE: PILOT is a unique model, where all choreographic teams work together in the same studio space at the same time; we call this our 'working separately-together' model. This helps to build genuine connections and networks, artists can learn from each other and give/receive instantaneous feedback
-
MENTORSHIP: Each year Enneagon Movement Director Giorgia Schijf helps to facilitate the rehearsals as well as mentor and guide the artists involved. She also helps to produce the season, taking the admin load off of the artists, giving them more room to create!
-
PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENTATION: The artists have the opportunity to collaborate with a professional photographer to create some promotional images of their work. These are used for the promotion of PILOT, and can be used for future promotion of their work.
-
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY: At the end of the rehearsal period, the artists perform their 10-minute work in a lo-fi studio setting in front of a live audience. After the show, the artists have a discussion with the audience about their work and how it was received.
