Matthew Lawler

Matt Lawler is a Boorloo based dance artist and graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He began training at Kerry Gough Gotta Dance School in Perth before expanding into fulltime training at WAAPA. During his studies, he was featured as a soloist in FACT MATTER by Lee Searle and completed professional secondments with Enneagon Movement and Co3 Contemporary Dance Australia.

His professional experience spans contemporary, youth arts, and large-scale commercial production.

He has performed with multiple entertainment companies around Perth and continues to work with SLIDE Youth Dance Theatre up on Larrakia Country (Darwin). In 2025, he received Western Australian State Government funding for an international secondment with Trisha Brown Dance Company in New York City, contributing in-studio to the development of Time Again by Lee Searle.

Matt is currently contracted with Royal Caribbean International, performing in various Production shows aboard Enchantment of the Seas through August 2026.
